Zebras Class Blog - Friday 20th June 2025

Long time no see!

In the Spring term our class learnt how to play the steel pan drums and did a performance to the school and the parents. There were also a few children who played the piano. It took a lot of practising, but we really enjoyed it.

For our Summer term sparkling start, we had a plant party. We had a choice of cakes which were, cinnamon rolls, cheese cake, lemon drizzle cake and birthday cake, all homemade! We had a dance and also planted beans, sunflowers, pak choi, tomatoes, strawberries, peppers and sweetcorn.

We really enjoyed a robotics afternoon. We built robots and we were allowed to fight them against each other. They were made out of Lego technic and we programmed them. We had to build these in our school hall as we had a friendly little squirrel visiting our classroom for the afternoon.

During our topic, which is Celts and Romans,  we designed posters of Roman emperors and also booklets and posters about Roman pastimes. We went onto the playground, grabbed our trays and used them for Roman army formations. There are a few formations which are called the Orb, Turtle and the Wedge. We were split into two groups; one group was in the formation and the other side were throwing balls to test if the formations were strong!

Three new people have joined our class; they have added lots of fun.

That's our blog so far for this term. Hope to see you soon.
